My silly infatuation with blogging is as futile as ever. I have little interest to continually write uninteresting stories NOBODY will read, with the exception of two or three friends of mine that apparently have no lives. I suppose I could use this as a progressive update on my new life in Korea, and later compile a memoir filled with diatribes on the reasons of my anti-social behavior. With that being said, Koreans have small fucking portions of food, and that’s coming from an underweight American, imagine a regular sized American, or the more common overweight American. No wonder meals here range from 3-5 bucks, because you need to buy 3-5 of them at a time to get any real digestive satisfaction.

Anyway, last night was my first night out of 어은동 which is the district closest to my campus. This time around I went to 둔산동 which is apparently the happening place of the city. A couple of foreigners and I stood outside a 7-11 and drank to spectate the lively night atmosphere. The place is surrounded with bars and clubs, which could only mean drunk locals and the most interesting conversations any intoxicated individual can have and retain. The night started off slow but after a few beers it quickly fast forwarded to me in bed spooning my roommate. At first I thought the girls in Korea were more reserved and shy, but that night quickly shattered my perception on the culture here being very uptight and conservative. I suppose its just like any other place, you will meet your shy quiet types and you will meet your assertive fun types. With my personality being the former, the only chance of me meeting people would have to be someone approaching me, which surprisingly happens very infrequently. I couldn’t understand why, when I have charm and good looks in my arsenal. Anyway, it was a fun night, we also educated my Korean roommate on why we have such a crude sense of humor. When he asked for the meaning of relieve, we quickly exemplified it to sexual tension and masturbation. He proceeded to laugh, questionably.
